At OptaPDF, your privacy is our primary engineering directive. This Privacy Policy details what information we process, how we secure it, and our strict non-retention policies.

1. What Data is Collected

We do not require users to register accounts or sign up. Therefore, we do not collect personal names, passwords, or credit card details. When you contact us using our form, we process your submitted name, email address, and message solely to answer your query.

2. In-Memory Temporary Processing

When you upload documents (PDFs, Word files, spreadsheets, or images) to our converters, they are parsed in isolated, temporary sandboxes. Your documents are never reviewed manually or cached permanently.

3. 30-Minute Auto-Deletion

All uploaded files and completed outputs are stored temporarily. Our system runs an automated cleanup job that permanently and irreversibly deletes files from our storage 30 minutes after upload, whether they were downloaded or not.

4. Zero Third-Party Sharing

OptaPDF does not analyze, sell, catalog, or share your document contents or files with external advertisements, AI models, or research partners. Your files are 100% private.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

OptaPDF uses essential operational cookies to maintain your current upload session status. We do not, on our own behalf, build advertising profiles from your activity.

Third-party advertising. To keep OptaPDF completely free, we may display advertising served by Google, including through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to OptaPDF and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.

Your documents stay private regardless of advertising. Advertising and analytics relate only to general website browsing. Your uploaded files are never shared with advertisers, never used to personalize ads, and are still permanently deleted within 30 minutes.
